Common Boating Violations

Alcohol on the river is PROHIBITED
All vessels on the river are REQUIRED to have one life jacket per person
Children under 6 years old are required to wear a life jacket while on board any vessel less than 26 feet in length that is underway
Anyone being towed behind a vessel must wear a life jacket
All of the Weeki Wachee River is a NO WAKE ZONE

Springs Protection Zone

Vessel operators are prohibited from anchoring, mooring, beaching, or grounding a vessel within the Weeki Wachee River Springs Protection Zone.

Violators are subject to a $140 fine.
